12th February 1842 Large entire outer wrapper, origjnally enclosing a lease, written from Loughglyn to Dublin bearing a strip of four EI - EL 1840 2d pale blue (touched or close at base, margins at other sides) tied by three black Maltese Crosses. Backstamped at Frechpark (Co. Roscommon) and Dublin. Light folds and two repaired rears to lettersheet. A remarkable and rare provincial Irish use of an 1840 2d multiple paying the rate for a 2 oz letter. BPA certificate.
